Park hours

Huntington Beach Central Park is a large municipal park with grounds generally open from early morning to evening; specific hours can vary by area and season. Confirm current park hours with the City of Huntington Beach before planning a visit outside daylight hours.

Parking

Multiple parking areas serve different parts of the park, including areas near the Sports Complex, the Central Library, and the Equestrian Center. Parking availability can be limited during large events or tournaments — arrive early when possible.

Restrooms

Restrooms are available at several locations throughout the park, generally near major facilities such as the Sports Complex, playgrounds, and the Central Library.

Accessibility

Many paved trails and facility areas are accessible, though terrain and surfaces vary throughout the park. If you have specific accessibility needs, contact the facility you plan to visit or the City of Huntington Beach in advance.

Trail etiquette

• Keep to the right and pass on the left; announce yourself when passing.
• Yield to pedestrians when cycling or riding.
• Keep noise levels considerate of wildlife and other visitors.

Dog rules

Leash rules generally apply throughout most of the park, with a designated off-leash dog park area available. Always check posted signage, and note that Park Bench Café is known for its dog-friendly patio.

Picnic guidance

Picnic areas with tables are located throughout the park. Pack out what you bring in, and use provided trash and recycling receptacles where available.
